Dr. Piyali Majumder is a Visiting Assistant Professor in the area of Economics and Public
Policy at IIM Rohtak. She was a Post-Doctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology
Delhi (IITD). She has completed her PhD from Jawaharlal Nehru University(JNU), New
Delhi. She has earned her M.Sc. and B.Sc. (hons) degrees in Economics from University of Calcutta (CU).
She has worked as an Assistant Professor at St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata. She has worked as a Consultant with the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. She has worked with various policy think-tanks of India -like Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), Indian Council for Research on International Economic Relations (ICRIER) and National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER).
